There's various stuff in the Loft including SGIs? and a Sun. I don't have a personal attachment to the SGIs and I don't expect anyone else to pop up and give them a home. Under the Loft stairs, there's also a Sun, a couple of IBM x86 rackmount servers and unused lockers. With a bit more preparation, I would like to decomission/donate manbo (the Sun E6000 under the Loft stairs) and manduba (the Sun E4000 containing the most useful bits of manbo, on the Loft bench) - taking one or both, and some accessories to the ACMS(WA), if practical. In the meantime, perhaps manduba can be put on or near manbo. http://wiki.ucc.asn.au/Manbo http://www.aceware.com.au/acms/ Does someone feel enthused to post a list of what remains on death row in these areas after Sunday? As for the server rack, the last I heard, it is staying where it is. The justification for this being that unlike most of the stuff in the loft (disgusting couches, broken furniture and old machines) it has a purpose being in the loft (used for LANs). Other stuff in the loft, such as the ancient CRT and the dumbterm, will probably be thrown out. 2012 Committee already threw out most of the stuff in the loft, so there shouldn't be too much left to deal with. If there's something you want to save, please turn up, or send an email to committee explicitly identifying what you want us to keep. Apologies for the short notice about all this. The problem is the Amp, the speakers and computer are fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can buy to replace it? I think we should be looking at something brand new, so we have a warranty. Regards Frames
