[RME] gave this a crack over the weekend - he installed the 10.7
installation image on an extra partition and tried booting off it. As
you discovered - video corruption was a problem and there definitely
seems to be something strange going on hardware-wise.
If we can find a spare video daughterboard that might be the way to go,
but I am once again out of energy for Mac stuff.
