Hey all,
It's JVB here. So I am helping out with running/organising a hackathon
event here in Perth called HealthHack.
Its a weekend long hackathon running at Curtin from Friday the 14th (6pm)
to Sunday the 16th (5pm).
The goal of the hackathon is to solve some health problems that local
medical people are having in the industry.
So why should UCC care?
If you are the type to ask this question I feel ya. I'm often impartial
about hackathons. Here would be my personal list.
- Its for a good cause. The work being done will be primarily for WA
based researchers and health industry professionals
- Its a good networking opportunity, especially if you are interested in
ThoughtWorks
- It doesn't go all night, so you can sleep and be worked ragged
- Free food; breakfast, lunch, and dinner
So if you can code (or if you have any Business Analyst skills) and you
think you would be interested, drop me an email or email
info at healthhack.com.au or head to http://healthhack.com.au/.
Also if you are doing any work in the medical industry or know someone who
might benefit from having a small application done to assist their work let
me know. Even if you think the problem might be too big/hard, we can work
with you to break it down.
