[tech] Scheduled maintenance

Dear Tech,
Due to the short notice and complexity of the changes on Tuesday not all
planned tasks have been completed. As a result further maintenance will
be carried out on Saturday the 28th of April by [FVP] and myself, [CFE].

Yesterday's maintenance consisted most of laying the groundwork for
later changes, with notable actions being:
    - Adapting ucc-fw to allow the LAN port to be easily changed.
    - Creating an updated /etc/networks/interfaces file to configure
murasoi's 10G link.
    - Configuring port 1 on walnut as a trunk port.

These changes have been made in preparation for the planned maintenance
on Saturday. Our plans are as follows:
    - Install a 10G NIC in molmol.
    - Reconfigure murasoi to use its 10G link as the primary LAN interface.

Due to these changes molmol and murasoi are expected to be momentarily
inoperable, which will lead to one or more total service outages that
will affect UCC services including irc and terminal access. We apologies
for any inconvenience that this may cause.
