Hi Dylan,
You'll need to run this past UniSFA's committee as it's up to them to decide when they'd prefer Koha to be offline.
I have no issues with you performing the upgrade. Koha regularly backs up the catalogue and configuration (which is then saved in several locations), but a fresh back up before proceeding is appreciated. Also, the VM should be getting back up images made with semi-regularity, so have a look at that first before you commit to creating a new image.
Send through another email once you're done and I can do some test runs.
Cheers,
Blair

Subject: Upgrade of unisfa-koha to Debian 10 "Buster" and Koha 20.05
Hi Blair,
I'm looking to upgrade the operating system and Koha software on Unisfa's library catalogue server (unisfa-koha) to Debian 10 "Buster" and Koha 20.05, respectively.
I was hoping to perform this upgrade either this week or next week, in the evening if it's a weeknight, or on Sunday if it's a weekend.
As Unisfa's electronic library catalogue will be unavailable throughout this upgrade process, can you please advise as to when (and if) you would be happy for me to perform it?
Once the upgrades are complete, I was also hoping that you (or someone else from Unisfa) could test it afterwards, if that's okay.
Should anything go wrong during this process, I'm intending to first create a "snapshot" of the unisfa-koha VM, and an export of its database (hosted on mooneye), so that I can roll everything back and get it working again.

Thanks, and kind regards,
Dylan Hicks [333]
