[tech] UCC Teams Phone Upgrade

Hello,

We recently had our landline changed to a Teams phone, and there's a couple of things we would like clarification on.

The phone is VoIP, but does it matter where it is plugged in? It seems preconfigured to the point where we just need to provide an internet connection via Ethernet (considering the technician just plugged it into a random Ethernet cable poking out of our machine room).

What are the monthly costs of this? We were previously paying $22 a month for a landline service, which we were happy to do due to the fact that it will continue to work independently of our network or power. Will this cost be erased or reduced due to this change?
