<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"></head><body>Hi tech,<div><br></div><div>After installing the new hardware for clownfish it was failing to bring up the network on boot.</div><div><br></div><div>I was able to bring it up manually using ip link set <interface> up. I discovered with the help of the SOE wiki page (I was getting ready to reinstall it) that /etc/network/interfaces had to be updated as the new motherboard had changed the LAN interface name.</div><div><br></div><div>I also fixed crashing Cinnamon by installing the proprietary Nvidia driver, and updated thr packages to the latest.</div><div><br></div><div>As yet it is still running Mint 17.3, which is now out of support. It is also booting off the old SSD instead of the new M.2 drive.
