From president at uass.asn.au Fri Jul 29 12:21:12 2011 From: president at uass.asn.au (Ash Tyndall) Date: Fri, 29 Jul 2011 12:21:12 +0800 Subject: [UASS] Timetables out now and Semester 2 club events! Message-ID: OLCR has finally calculated our timetables, a sign that the holidays are soon ending and then it's back to work again. Not to worry however, because the UWA Atheist & Skeptic Society will be providing you with a variety of different events to procrastinate at over the semester! To make sure as many people can attend as possible, drop by http://uass.asn.au/cgi-bin/timetable/ and tick the boxes for times that you CAN'T attend an event. We'll use this information to work out the best times for events this semester. We'll be running one event first week back: *Thursday, 4th August* *Atheists in the tav* 1PM - 3PM UWA Tavern Come join us for a sit down and perhaps a drink as we ponder the indecipherable mysteries of the universe, or not. This event is unfortunately only open to people over the legal drinking age. RSVP: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=235254756506188 Stay tuned for more events this semester. If you join our Facebook group ( http://www.facebook.com/groups/uwaass/), you can get automatic invites to club events! We are currently seeking testimonials from UWA students for various different handbook pages, including one on student clubs and societies. We would like to try and get a few short statements (about 100 words) from students who have been involved with clubs and societies on campus, explaining the benefits, what they got out of it and how it may have enriched their student experience. I'm sending this email out to all Guild Clubs and Society contact addresses on the Guild website: http://www.guild.uwa.edu.au/home/subcouncils2/soc/directory?pageid=4486. Please let me know if you or your club/society may be able to help me source a testimonial (even just one would be fantastic!). If you want to circulate my email, I'd be very grateful. We will need to finalise the handbook in the next couple of weeks, so please contact me as soon as possible, if you can help. Many thanks, Asha ASHA JONES PROJECT OFFICER - NEW COURSES 2012 - STUDENT SERVICES ROOM 2210 - SOCIAL SCIENCES SOUTH PHONE: 6488 1245 FAX: 6488 1053 MAIL BOX: M009 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
