Aieeeee! I have just been informed that this did not, in fact, make it
though to ucc announce. *sigh*
So, very late though it is, here is the Sleepout announcement in all it's
glory *cough*
The most important thing to note - LAN FOR CHARITY! ;P
***********************************
Hello all,
Well, it's on again. We are gearing up for the third annual Cameron Hall
Charity Sleepover (note the name change ;P), and it's time to start
getting involved. Last year we raised over $1200 for Mission
Australia. This year we will be raising money for Youth Focus, a local
charity who work to prevent youth suicide, and we hope to raise even
more. To come along, you need to either:
- get a sponsorship form from Unigames, UCC or UniSFA (they'll be ready
real soon now, I swear ;P) and collect at least $8 sponsorship
OR (the wimp option)
- pay $10 at the door (of course more substantial donations are always
welcome ;).
Of course, the point is to raise money for charity, so you should all
choose the first option. Plus there will (probably) be a prize for the
person who raises the most for charity :)
Note that anyone who sponsors themselves $8 just to save a couple of
dollars will be subject to much scorn.
The Sleepout will be at Cameron Hall on Friday 30th August (see NOTE 1),
and will continue into Saturday morning. There will be plenty to keep you
occupied all night, including:
- Movies on eiher a projector in the Guild Cinema or the HUGE TV in UniSFA
- LAN gaming - mmmmm, Counter-Strike :P
- Boardgames (Knights and Cities of Cataan, among others)
- Consoles! Very popular in previous years, this year we hope to have one
or more of PS2/Gamecube/XBox set up where-ever we aren't showing movies
- Food. And Drink. Entry includes Pizza for dinner and muffins for
breakfast. The fridges and machines of all three clubs will also be open
for business, with all proceeds going to charity.
So, bug someone from one of the clubs to give you a sponsorship form, and
start collecting today.
See you all there,
Chas.

NOTE 1: The Charity Sleepover is a strictly _Alchohol Free_ event.
NOTE 2: Hmmm. I wonder how observent people are out there. And how good
their memories are *grin*
