Hi Everyone,

Agenda Items for the UCC SGM, 6pm Thursday 16 December 2010 in Guild
Council meeting room:

1. Reaffirm life memberships of;
John "West" McKenna,
Andrew Williams,
Peter N Lewis,
James Andrewartha,
Nick Bannon,
Mark Tearle,
upon incorporation of the club.
(Needs two thirds majority to pass)

2. Go through all sections of the proposed constitution and detail all
changes. This will not include spelling, grammar and numbering changes.

3. Motion to incorporate as The University Computer Club Inc. subject to
approval by the UWA Guild Statutes Committee.
(Needs 75% majority to pass)

4. Vote on whether we want to keep the Investments section of the proposed
constitution, either in the constitution or in an attached policy.
(Needs 50% to pass since the constitution hasn't been adopted at this
point)

5. If agenda item four votes in favour, vote to either keep the
Investments section in the constitution, or move the section to a policy
(substituting a two-thirds majority for all mentions of the words 'special
resolution').
(Will probably only need a simple majority, but need to check this)

6. Adopt the proposed Constitution and Name of the Club, subject to
approval from the UWA Guild Statutes Committee and its acceptance by the
Department of Commerce.
http://bob.ucc.asn.au/draft_constitution_2_2.pdf for people who wish to
look at it before the meeting. Copies of the current and proposed
constitutions will be available at the meeting.
(Needs 75% majority to pass)

7. If required by the Guild Statutes Committee for affiliation, the
addition of the following to the Memberships section and numbering of each
subsection in that section:

"All members must comply with all provisions relating to affiliated
societies included in the Guild Statute Book."

And alternatively, the adoption of a policy with the same wording in the case
where it is not required to be in the body of the Constitution. (Needs 75%
majority to pass)

Hope to see you there! If you don't know where to go, show up at the
clubroom at 5:45 and follow the rest of the crowd.
