Interested in learning to program, but not sure where to start?
JavaScript is a fun language, and you probably have the development
tools
installed on your computer already!

Seasoned programmer who thinks web languages are all terrible? jQuery
is a
great library that makes JavaScript the concise, expressive language it
should have been to start with.

This tech talk will cover the basics of JavaScript and jQuery so you
can

begin hacking up your favourite websites, or writing your own
interactive
web applications. What's covered will depend on the experience of the
people who turn up -- starting with basic HTML and CSS if there's
interest,
or moving on to jQuery plugins and method chaining if people are keen.

Start Time: 6:30PM, Wednesday 29th August
Where: UCC Clubroom

Presented by Scott Young
