This night exists for you to meet other members new and old, have a

Subject: [ucc] Tech Talks - 1 - Learn You A Linux for Great Good

Hey UCC,
Tech Talks are getting started for this year.
The first on is about Linux and how to use it.
It will be presented by David Gow.

It's going to be in a bit more detail than the stuff in the fresher guide.
There will be a focus on command line stuff.
However the final content is yet to be confirmed.
if you have any particular things you would like to see, please email them in.

So come on down and get the tech talks off to a big start.
Also letting you know, the clubroom will be reserved for this 
talk/demo/tutorial/workshop
and that <b>all</b> computer will be booted into Linux.
Feel free to bring your Linux laptop, or other laptop that will let you SSH
(come early, and we can show you how to use Putty on windows).

When: 6:00pm
Duration: 45min - 1 hr.
Where: UCC clubroom
Who: You (Particually if you couldn't give a Tech Talk on Linux yourself)
How: with computers
Why: Because Linux is everywhere

Hello All!

It's that time of the year again, Easter is coming, complete with 
bunnies, chocolate and the death of one of the most influential people 
ever to have lived. And also, the UCC Easter LAN approaches.

This year we're holding the LAN on the last weekend of the Easter study 
break (yes, I know it's a week after Easter, but CASSA are holding their 
MegaLAN on the Easter weekend - go to that as well)

What:  UCC Easter LAN
When:  4 PM, Friday 13 April 2012  to  8 AM, Saturday 14 April 2012
Where: Cameron Hall Loft
Price: $Free for UCC (or affiliate club) members, $5 for non members
Games: The general collection - Wolf: ET, Team Fortress 2, Age of 
Empires 2, whatever else is wanted
RSVP:  lan at ucc.asn.au by Sun 8 April

We may be running a small TF2 tournament again this year, depending on 
how many teams sign up. The format will be 6v6 (or 5v5) on cp_badlands, 
cp_fastlane and cp_yukon_final (best of 5 games on each map).
If you are interested in joining the tournament (even if you don't have 
a team), please note that in your RSVP email.
