Hi All,
Get excited about the next tech talk,
this coming Thursday (May 24th), at 5:45pm.
(It would be helpful if you let me know if your going to be late)
It's about Python, and how it is (potentially) as great as David Adam
thinks it is.
Learning python is a pretty good idea.
It's a high level language, (unlike C),
and it isn't terrible at being a high level language(unlike Java).
It draws heavily from many paradigms, allowing you to bring the correct
tools to bare on any problem.
It is also weakly typed, and so it terrible.
in all seriousness, I can not encourage people to come to this enough.
Especially first years,
and even more so, people who have managed to get beyond there first
year without being exposed to Python.
This is also informing all members that the Techtalk takes priority on
clubroom resources,
and you may be kicked off machines, have sound turned off, etc.

Hi Frames
My talk is titled "Python Is Great; and if you don't think so you must
be
stupid"
Abstract:
A brief overview of the philosophy of the Python programming language,
and
how you can use Python to stop "programming" and start solving common
problems with useful tools.
If you have never used Python or are just getting to grips with it, you
will learn something. If you are an experience Pythonista, come along
and
help me answer questions.
Basic programming experience will be assumed, although honestly you
don't
need any to understand Python. (Just make sure you laugh when everyone
else does and you'll be fine.)
