From sshenton at iinet.net.au Mon Nov 5 22:26:05 2012 From: sshenton at iinet.net.au (Samuel Shenton) Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2012 22:26:05 +0800 Subject: [ucc-announce] The UCC Clubroom Move Message-ID: <000001cdbb61$7d9bb270$78d31750$@net.au> Hi all, The University Computer Club is investigating moving the UCC Clubroom to the Cameron Hall Loft. We would like to consult the membership as to their thoughts on the proposed project before putting it forward to Guild Council. Moving to the loft will allow the UCC to greatly increase the amount of services available to members and accommodate a larger membership in the future. The loft will need a lot of work to make it secure and suitable for our needs, and some early design ideas are available to view at http://loft.ucc.asn.au/design/. If approved this project will be one of the biggest undertakings in UCC history and the club will have to rely heavily on members to help out in all stages of the project. Specifically, sponsorship is vital for the UCC to fund this project and assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated. Any queries, concerns or offers of assistance should be directed to committee at ucc.asn.au Kind regards, Samuel Shenton [SAS] UCC Clubroom Switch Project Manager -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Starts 1:00pm, but if you want to get there early to help set up, people are arriving at 10am. So we can make sure everything is working. (Apparently I forgot to put times in my last email.) It is looking like we'll have 5 or maybe even 6 ships. We still have 3 slots left in the clubroom ship for those who can't bring there computers. Everyone else please remember that space for your computer is super limited, laptops if possible, one screen per person etc. Please bring your own power boards too, make sure they aren't surge protected ones. It is also desirably if people could bring headphones/microphone sets, for the comms officers. It looks like it will cost about $7 per person to purchase copies of the game. So bring some cash. There is no DRM, but we don't want to screw overs a one man dev team. Thanks Frames UCC OCM
