Hi all!

Welcome new members, and for the others... it's that time of year again!

_*Annual General Meeting*_

The AGM will be at *1:00pm, **Friday 8th March*, in the Guild Council 
Meeting Room as usual. /Please note that there has been a mistake and 
the date in the 2019 Fresher Guide is incorrect/.**If you aren't sure 
how to find the room, meet us in the clubroom shortly before and we will 
go there en masse.

All of the current committee positions (President, Vice-President, 
Treasurer, Secretary, Ordinary Committee Member × 3 and First Year 
Representative) will be up for election. If you would like to get 
involved in the organisational side of UCC, then the AGM is a really 
good place to start.

To add anything to the agenda for the meeting, or nominate for any 
position, please contact your friendly local secretary 
<mailto:exec at ucc.asn.au>. Please stay tuned for the final agenda in a 
few days' time.

Please note that you must have paid and filled in a form for 2019 in 
order to vote at the meeting. Have a look at the 2019 membership page

_*Account Locking

Account locking will also be happening before the end of March - if you 
have not already renewed and paid for your membership, please do so 
either by using the online renewal form 
<https://portal.ucc.asn.au/renew/> or by going to the clubroom and 
talking to a door or committee member. /Note that the online system is 
still under active development, and not all features are completed. Feel 
free to ask me (frekk) on IRC / Discord if you have any questions or 
concerns./

Note that the prices for renewing membership are the same as last 
year**and payment online by card is accepted if using the online form.

Coming up in the next few weeks and continuing during the semester are a 
number of exciting events! As usual, subscribe to the UCC mailing list

*Fresher Welcome *- Monday *4th March* 2019, 5:00pm (Week 2)
Come to the Cameron Hall Loft (above the clubroom), make new friends and 
learn about UCC (with /*FREE PIZZA!!*/).

*Annual General Meeting* - Friday *8th March* 2019, 1:00pm (Week 2)
Guild Council Meeting Room. Get involved in running the club, organising 
events, buying stuff and more!

*Movie nights* - weekly on *Wednesday* evenings
Starting on *Wednesday 6th March* (Week 2) in the clubroom, movies to be 
announced.
Pizza or food run will be arranged.

*Vive nights* - weekly on *Thursday* evenings
Experience virtual reality with our HTC Vive! We have Superhot, Beat 
Saber and more!

above UCC).

*Tech talks* - on *Tuesday* evenings
Starting on *Tuesday* *19th March* (Week 4). /*Pizza and soft drinks
