New developer position here at CIRA, to work on astronomy data
processing software, using GPU's in a supercomputer. Great place to
work, with great people. It's a 2-year contract, but the experience with
GPUs, supercomputing and astronomy would let you walk into a job
anywhere in the world (including here in Perth).
Don't be put off by the word 'supercomputer', and think it means l33t
coding skills. You'd be horrified by a lot of the code that I've seen
running on supercomputers for astronomy - hundreds of nodes that each
have dozens of cores and a GPU or two, running code that's only using
one thread on one core of each node, and no GPUs.
