Hey Folks!
It's time for
UniSFA's Annual General Meeting, where we all get together and elect the
committee for the year! We also discuss stuff about the club, so come and voice
opinions and stuff.
WHAT: Annual General MeetingWHERE: Guild Council Meeting Room, UWA Student Guild, 2nd FloorWHEN: Friday 11th MarchTIME: 1pm - 3pm
Things to Know:
- The clubroom will
be closed for the duration of the meeting. If you don't know where the Guild
Council Meeting Room is prior to the meeting, go to the clubroom and follow
everyone else.
- Freshers are
welcome, and are encouraged to run for Fresher Rep (become the Ultimate
Fresher).
- If you would like
to run for a position, nominate yourself by contacting the secretary Cassie
(luckygal_102 at hotmail.com), or spontaneously during the meeting.
- You MUST be a
financial member in order to vote, nominate, or run for office. You must also
be a financial member of the Guild in order to run for exec. Please make sure
you have paid your membership by 12pm the day of the meeting (i.e. Friday, 11th
March).
- Proxy Voting: If
you can't attend the meeting, but still want to vote, you can give it to
another member to act on your behalf.
Anyone who cannot
find someone to be their proxy can contact the secretary. Proxies must be
specific (i.e. 'I vote for /this person/'). If you are using the secretary as
your proxy, please have your votes in by 5pm next Thursday (10th March)

Crash Course to
Committee Positions:
- President:
delegates a lot, voice of reason, chairs meetings, gets the special chair
during the AGM, talks to Guild a lot
- Vice-President:
traditionally oversees events, gets to sit in the chair if president is away
- Secretary: writes
minutes, sends emails, checks mailbox, organises membership
- Treasurer: governs
monies and spending
- Librarian: governs
the library, in charge of book buys
- Ordinary Committee
Member: delegated too, help run events/look after the clubroom/members
- Fresher Rep:
represents the first year members of the club
