Hi everyone~

I am writing these minutes at Relay for Life and it is very cold. My poor fingers! Keep warm, everyone.

Things For Your Eyes

- Spooky story competition! Because it is the month of Halloween, UniSFA is holding a spooky story competition. If you like writing spooky stories, please send them to our president, Toby! Then they shall be judged and, if need be, censored because UniSFA reserves the right to censor. We have two categories: Two-Sentence Horror, and Up To A Thousand Words Horror. You have until November 11th, so can write over the study break if you want. Have fun!

- Hair Dye for Life! Tim Haig, our treasurer, and Finley, our club-member, are auctioning off their hair colours! If you are in the clubroom, you can pay $1 to bid on your favourite colour. Feel free to be nice or nasty and even put up a completely new colour option.

Screenings For This Week

Tuesday: Young Justice with Nat

Begin: 1:30?

1.	Committee Reports

President

Toby is late.

Vice President

Leah had a reasonably good week but did nothing for the club so like yup. But her nails are real sparkly and lovely.

Secretary

I haven’t done much??? My hair is probably going to be purple for Relay so I’ll dye that tonight, and I have raised $170 so I will be in cosplay. If I get an extra $30 real soon then I can get songs played and if that happens I want to ask for kpop. BTS just released their new album and it’s good (I like 21st Century Girl) but it’s a fucking insult how few lines my boy Jin got. That’s not related to the club at all, I just feel really strongly about it!

Treasurer

Tim is angry at things but they are not relevant. The money notebook idea seems to be going alright, a few people forgot to write in it but as far as Tim’s aware it’s all okay. ATLA screening is going well, they are almost at Korra yaay~ Will have to move it to Friday for one week because Tim didn’t make the appropriate sacrifices to Transperth and he is being punished.

Librarian

Brooke has been quite sick, but moved all anthologies to cupboards. Or else they’re in the TARDIS. She trained some CCC members, all two who showed up. Will talk later about people who didn’t show up and need to be trained.

Fresher Rep

Marlea hasn’t done much this week. Cat had a sore leg, so the nostalgia screening was postponed. That’s it… Camp meeting was postponed as well.

OCM Report - Jake

Got the Game of Thrones talk on Monday. Thatcher tried to sneak a post about this event onto the main page but didn’t realise Jake had already posted about it. “Fuck you, Thatcher” says Jake, “Minute this”. Also, he had a singular idea to do an event and will bring it up later.

OCM Report - Jono

Jono got a haircut. He ran a charity screening, it was a failure. Thank you to the three people who turned up. He will run sausage sizzles to make up for it. Will talk about other things later.

OCM Report - Patrick

Pat is working.

2.	Last Week’s Action Items

Brooke still needs her RSA.
We’re good.

3.	Relay For Life

It’s tomorrow!
I am going to be in Vocaloid cosplay… Help…
Everyone look at UWA Super Jocks page, there is a nice big post there of things to bring/look out for on the day. Only team captain needs to be there at the start to collect arm bands. Jono would appreciate if someone could be there early to help put up the marquee. We have a team of thirteen, so that’s a good size team.
Baton… We want a new baton… Any ideas? Something easy to hold whilst running. Tim was going to bring a plastic severed hand, would that be okay? Maybe. Jono will bring down contenders and we can all vote.
We can keep fundraising a little after the relay as well, so don’t give up immediately. Like, we still have hair-dying.
We’ll erase the hair-dye board as well after the meeting cos thats when I’m gonna leave to buy dye. Take a pic of the board as well for the record.
Are people going to be selling drinks down at Relay for Life tomorrow? Yes, we can do that. Cat can bring an Esky.

4.	Events

Jake had an idea for an event. It is to do a screening of some kind of space thing with the space club, and he will look into getting the physics department to lend us some telescopes. Also what about a sausage sizzle and screening and then stargazing. It might be fun. Leah points out that Nic Browning says there’s at least one ex-UniSFAn at the observatory. That’d be neat but would take a lot of organising. Jake would like to wait until after next election of Space committee so there won’t be a kerfuffle. We like this idea.
Screening for Life happened. I guess.
Halloween Party is dead. We have a writing competition and can do other halloweeny things. What about a series of Halloween screening nights? Like 4pm - midnight, horror movies? Brooke and Toby can liaise about movies for that.
Camp. Patrick knows about Camp, and he is not here. We need to sort out an itinerary. Swimming might be RIP. Also at this point we need to start talking about selling tickets, can we not sell them until EMP has been approved? But regardless, we need to come up with ideas for advertising this. Like posters as well as word-of-mouth. Some people don’t like the idea of posters… They need guild approval and shit, yadda yadda. But then just take it to Kasey and get it approved. Point is, we need at lest 25 to go to Lake Lesch to not make a loss. Get on that. Shall someone be on poster duty? Who likes graphic design? Cat potentially? We can ask her when she’s off the phone. She’s off the phone! Hi Cat, you’re so pretty~ Can Cat design a poster for camp? She said yes. Flattery works. [thumbs-up emoji]
LARP is looking to happen in early January. Liam is talking to people who are writing/organising that. Leah has done nothing with EMP yet cos she’s busy and it’ll be just like the last LARP EMP. Once her thesis is handed in, hopefully the EMP site will be fixed and it will be submitted in early November.
At one point we should talk about UniSFA Goes over the Summer. Beach, Bounce, etc.
Toby wants to run a de-stress pyjama party again. Will do it in study break, probably the Wednesday. Anyone want to form a subcommittee again? Do we need one? Like, things can be delegated but nothing needs to be organised so much does it? Toby this time wants to get involved with the actual welfare people. And try to decorate the clubroom to be like a blanket fort. If we go through welfare it’d be more official and need an EMP. Brooke and Marlea can help Toby with that. It’s a minor event, so it shouldn’t be a big EMP.
Also what about a UniSFA goes to the beach? But no no, swimming on EMPs are difficult. But that might be okay if we got to Cottesloe where there are lifeguards. We can talk to Kasey about that.

5.	Money

We don’t know what Toby wanted to talk about…
At this point, LARP money seems to legit have been stolen. When was the LARP? July. Leah counted money the first meeting after the LARP. They kept having meetings to divide it up and people from other clubs weren’t available to divide the money. Essentially, it was left in the box for a while. Note: This has no bearing on the new money system, it was to do with the lock. We should get a new lock. And don’t leave a large amount of money unattended for weeks on end.
New notebook is going well for people noting down the amount of notes we have in the moneybox. One person forgot to sign things in the morning, but that was fine.
The moneybox which the LARP money was in doesn’t lock, is it worth looking into throwing that out and buying one that actually does lock? All in favour of replacing the lockbox? Unanimous.

6.	Shirts

Okay so Steven emailed people he knew at shirt printers.
Last Friday, Jono followed up Steven and apparently the printers hadn’t gotten back to him. They still haven’t gotten back to him today. The fabric printers have let us down. So we are four weeks late for other things. So after Relay, Jono can look into other printers.
We knew the colours and designs we want, it’s just a question of getting a quote. Is it worth putting up a post asking for sizing orders even if we don’t have a supplier? Well, we don’t know if ragline style will be available, and people may not want to sign up without knowing prices.

7.	Screenings

Monday is ATLA with Tim
Tuesday is Young Justice with Nat
Wednesday is Carmilla with Brooke.
Thursday is Nostalgia Screening with Marlea and Cat
Friday is spooky things with Toby.
Whilst on this topic, Leah has mentioned off-hand before, but once Leah’s thesis is done over the summer Leah wants to run a Your-Taste-Sucks-Watch-These-Movies thing. Most are not relevant to the club, but Leah insists the club’s tastes are “shit”. If the Summer is super free, then that could be okay? As long as time isn’t being taken away from club-relevant things, it should be alright.

8.	General Business

Is everyone aware of where drinks are now? Because they have been moved. They have been moved yesterday down into the cupboard in front of UniGames. Toby has secured it with a chain and new lock so it is lockable now. It has a UniSFA sticker on it, so that’s how you know which cupboard it is. Brooke will make sure people know about that sort of thing as well.
Action Item: Please make sure CCC form is printed off and signed by CCC.
Apparently, the water in Cameron Hall is full of copper. So maybe be careful if you’re in Cameron Hall for a long time for a lot of days? We’re looking into it. Drink the water or don’t. Just be educated about the copper.
Apparently someone said the vacuum is broken? Is that true? Annique says so. So lets look into a new vacuum, we need a budget for that and someone should buy it. I tell a humorous anecdote about a vacuum cleaner salesman and everyone laughs and is glad to know me.
The calendar isn’t being used so much, someone needs to fill that out. Jono gets out to get the calendar and chaos transpires.
Someone post about the anthologies being moved? Brooke can!
Fridge runs aren’t happening enough, maybe we should have dates set for fridge runs? Leah agrees with setting dates, maybe fortnightly is too much. Unless it’s fortnightly and we buy small amounts. Like, oh we’re low on XYZ, we can buy some this fortnight.

Finish: 2:20
