1.	Committee Reports

President

Lots of stuff got done. Toby went to Pokémon Go, it was fun. We got so many nerds to go outdoors, whats up with that? Camp stuff’s going on. Someone put a stack of books up on the display, and got some reviews, changed the waifu of the week board. Yup.

Vice President

*general screening* On top of general screaming, Leah updated the screenings board and tried to get the LARP EMP in but the website’s fucking up. She’ll keep trying over the weekend. If it’s not fixed, she’ll go talk to Kasey about it. Screened Fateful Findings with Nat, that was nice.

Secretary

I’m sick. Yup. My dad gave me his horrible cold. So I didn’t do too much, but I am screening Sonic Boom tonight. Yiff.

Treasurer

Time is starting to get the plague. A:tLA screening is going well, he’s running that with other Tim. They seem to be going at about half a book per week. He has done some money stuff, it’s going well. Needs to get money out for for the Sponsor Crawl as well.

Librarian

Brooke put away books, but she needs help to get the graphic novels onto the system. She did some things with the Byrnleigh but that’s closed down now so the work is useless. Got a book buy list for the Sponsor Crawl.

Fresher Rep

Marlea had a very bad week and is dead. Did she do stuff? Yes, she went to Pokémon Go, that was fun. Postponed screening. Is doing charity vigil stuff.

OCM Report - Jake

Jake is sorry for missing last week, he was dead. He has detoxed off sugar. Apparently we should all get off sugar (you’re not the boss of me, Jake). And the Byrnleigh closed.

OCM Report - Diet Jono, low sugar low caffeine

Jono got the new fridge pages printed and laminated, they look nice. He was in charge of Pokémon Go, herded the cats that are our members through the city that was good. Relay stuff? And shirts. Yes. He will talk about those later

OCM Report - Patrick

Camp thing was submitted to kasey (whoo clap clap) and now Pat says: “Please give me copies of: RSA, first aid, and all the other relevant camp-related certificates he's been asking for.” Shall people scan and send it? Will it be easier to have a folder on dropbox? Either way, Patrick needs it please get it to him asap. He has an online course for food prep and will share that today. He thought he had a meeting with Kasey but that’s apparently not until next week. Event organiser is now Brooke, so he'll update the EMP to have her name on there. Charity Vigil stuff is being done, that was put on hold cos of camp sorry. He’s going to a meeting for that this afternoon.

2.	Last Week’s Action Items

Toby needs to look up updated clubroom rules.
I did well on mandarin! Yaaay~
Yep cool.

3.	CCC Forms and Rule Changes

Are we putting any clubroom rules into the CCC forms? Has Jake put in the comments to the form? Some of them. Jake can finalise that form. Easy.

4.	Events

Lots of events.
Sponsor Crawl is tomorrow. Brooke’s got a list of books, Tim’s going to get money out. This starts at 11. Where shall we go for food? Pancakes? Somewhere else? Pancakes is a sit-down place we can all fit into. So, probably pancakes. Is brooke set for the bookbuy? If anyone wants to add anything, let her know.
Library day. Move the books? Nah.
Charity vigil!! 25th September! We need someone else on the subcommittee because Patrick’s doing camp work. If someone can do work in terms of itineraries and junk that’ll be good. Patrick can tell people what needs to be done. Toby can do that. Toby wants to do most of the work now for charity vigil. What shall we do for the charity vigil? What do! Normally we do screenings, we’d like ways to incorporate that into raising money. Maybe we can have something like Mario Maker where people play games and can give money to play or to pick a level they’ve made. Ideally we can make a roster of people to be here, as well. We’ve done things in the past like bidding on what movies to show, Leah likes the idea of bidding to do some things over other things. Like last charity vigil did a dramatic reading of Star Wars with people bidding to read certain characters. The thing with movies though is that it gives us a limited thing we can bid on. We can do tv shows, they have a shorter run time so more bidding. Last time we did UniSFA dares. Who remembers those? Nobody. What happens there is you have committee/other people who are willing to do dares for money. That worked out well for last time. But it’s hard to get that officially approved, and you never know if people are actually peer-pressured in that sort of game. Maybe karaoke? Potentially. Social games like Drawful? Possibly something like that. Someone says they don’t want activities to take over the whole room. Other people disagree. We can be a chill space, people bidding for movies or tv episodes. Would Marlea like to put a list of tv shows together? Maybe a couple of movies for later past midnight when people want to chill some more. What about a story-heavy game with people bidding on options? Old-school guitar hero where people pay a gold coin to play a song? Let’s make a roster/guide of what to do throughout the night and people can say when they’re free and come in. Maybe we can have coffee/tea available for a silver coin as well? Yeah okay sure. Will fridge sales get donated? Yes. Okay cool. In previous years there have been bake-sales. Can we ask people if they want to donate baked goods? No, we’re not allowed. What about store-bought cookies and things? Okay sure. Good ideas. Can pat bring it up at the meeting that nobody else can go to? Thanks, Pat.
Halloween party. So the Byrnleigh closed! Fuck. Brooke can ask Kasey for any alternatives. Oh, Annique has connections to the hockey club! Wweet, look into that! Oh, but then catering may be a problem. Part of the appeal of Tav/Byrnleigh is that people can buy drinks. But this place is licensed? We could aslo potentially sue wherever UCC ends up going for their anniversary thing. Keep an eye out for that.

5.	UniSFAst Fundraising

*croaky whoo*
Jono called up the Windsor to ask about how they do business for charity screenings. It’s not as cool as he thought because we have to pay to source films they’re not screening so we’re restricted to what they’re showing. Maybe the Miss Peregrine movie? I hiss. So how it works there is we do a group booking, get cheap tickets, charge more for our members to come, and profits goes to the relay. If we charge $18/20, we get profit. The minimum group size is like 10 or something. Unfortunately with regular group bookings, the cinema would be open to the public as well. We can also provide food. Maybe do a raffle where number the tickets or something to encourage attendance. Also we can get the relay tin and shake it at the general public. We need to decide on a date, Jono will look at the calendar. Can he just go ahead and organise that? Sure!
Lets do a sausage sizzle! Jake sounds enthusiastic. Jono can organise that.
Jono made a relay team Facebook group (needs more Sonic the Hedgehog memes) and will organise training. He wants to go to Jacob’s Ladder because it’s nice and done-up.
Can we do screenings in lecture rooms? Yeah, for free. We can do that around the sausage sizzle maybe.

6.	Camp

Toby and Pat and Brooke are on the official EMP as organisers, but we still need a team effort from everyone. Exemptions if you’re busy with a thesis or not going to be at the camp. We agreed to put in effort to running a camp, so everyone please help with the camp. We need ideas for activities to do there.
So far, idea for the theme is having a sorting on the first night into a house. Then a lowkey competition which has no real bearing on anything.
Maybe last night can be a big costume happy. But does require people to bring costume party. Maybe we can have different costume categories, like best jeans, so not everyone needs a costume. And winning the prize gets you points to your house.
What are the houses? Hufflepuff, Baratheon, Star Wars, and Toby. Toby? Toby is up for debate.
Can we have some ideas for games? Jono suggests a game where you throw a ball, catch the ball, and throw it again. Toby is confused by this concept.
LARP? Quidditch? Jake is very :\ about quidditch, he says nobody really wants to play it. Marlea disagrees, she says it’s easy to set up especially if we already have noodles form the LARP.
There’s going to be a quiz night. Jake is excited! He can do that with Toby and Marlea.
Leah likes themed screening nights. Yeah. We can have a big screening on the final night. We just want something lowkey people can go to if they don’t want to do the other big activities.
Discussion panels? Frames is keen to get this sorta thing off the ground. Maybe like a book club or people discussing things. Maybe also things like that that involve participation. Maybe people bring stuff they’re written and read it out! Like creepypastas! The pieces would need to be short for time constraints but that could be fun.
Let’s all think of fun ideas for camp activities!

7.	Shirts

Does Jono need to order shirts? We’ve got pricing. Shall we order a bunch of shirts in advance, or order them as people want them? Let’s get peoples’ orders first. We can post about the design/colours/etc and maybe make a post asking what size they want. Or should we take actual orders? Yeah maybe we can have a document where we note down what people have ordered and also we’ll need a place to keep money from the shirt orders.

8.	Money System

It’s going well. The only problem is the box tends to get full of change and its hard to get the notes in when it’s full. Do we have another box we can maybe empty the notes into? Yes, but it doesn’t lock. Maybe just have Tim regularly taking money out of the moneybox when he’s in the clubroom.
But yeah it’s going fine, things are easy. Should we add another CCC since the money system’s going so well? Why? We already have eight? Well lets think about it next week, see if there’s an issue with times when the room isn’t open or something.

9.	Screenings

Nat’s wants Tuesdays permanently for young justice.
Thursday is free. Is it Dr Horrible? Marlea is doing that, okay cool.
Friday will be free if someone wants it.

10.	Sir Business

We need to talk about what Leah posted in the committee page. There was an issue but it has been talked about. We do need an official policy though for how to deal with complaints so that they are shared with the rest of committee and dealt with. Maybe when you get a complaint, post about it on the committee page so we can discuss it? Perhaps we can have a complaint policy written up like the dooring policy? Hmmm…

Finish: 3:02pm
