Things for Your Eyes

  *   CCC Applications are extended so just message either Natasha or Annique your availability, involvement with the club, ideas for screening/small events, why you want to apply and your experience with fridge runs. Applications close 24th of August at 10am.


  *   Relay for Life is back! It is happening 14th-15th October on James Oval with a small amount of exercise but loads of fun and games. Join our group Unisfast and run around raising money for the cancer council as well as watching committee ruin their hair!

1. Committee Reports

President

Sends her apologies.

Vice President

Working on transferring camp details like reprinting stuff, changing names to Ern Halliday and event manager and stuff. Went to club carnival, hot, signed up some people. Reminded people that we exist. Attended OGM

Secretary

Sent off the the OGM minutes, helped out with the Open Day stuff, got internet and I’m getting a new laptop today. Also I ran a screening despite a broken usb which I’m also getting fixed today. Attended OGM

Treasurer

Sorted camp invoice, club carnival, made a deposit. Did an inventory of the cupboard. Attended OGM

Librarian

Helped set up Open Day, did some club carnival stuff. That’s about it. Attended OGM

Fresher Rep

Helped pack up club carnival, emailed Casey, set a date for fresher re-welcome in this meeting. Attended OGM

OCM Report - Finley

Sends their apologies.

OCM Report - Kurt

Did some graphic designs with a screenings poster, will change around every week, helped set up for club carnival and did some sick bookmarks. Attended OGM

OCM Report - Theo

Done so many things, got elected and that was cool, didn’t get to help out much but is looking forward to being delegated to. Attended OGM


2. Events

     *   LARP

     *   Didn’t happen due to awful rain. Jack didn’t know what was going on and it was on the same day as Open Day so what was happening. Meeting will happen for it and will decide when to re-schedule.

• Club Carnival

  *   Get there earlier, liked the stall a lot, the design between open day and club carnival were really good. Harry - might have been a silly miscalculation as it was kind of a greenhouse. Maybe fans before hand. Jack got mild heatstroke. Get some shade. Or a better Rota system. Make a roster next time.

• Open Day

  *   Was really good, people were interested, people like fantasy, people were hype to join. Cameron hall tent next time maybe? Jack says that some clubs may not be interested as you don’t get signups just interest ,
  *   We need more beans in the bag. So sad and deflated.

• OGM

  *   Had that. Did things. Elected Theo and confirmed VP.
  *   Name Change - update the constitution and send to SOC
  *   Should look at banners and stuff because of logo change, we got called out at Open Day because of Logo.
  *   One person brought up that the discussion felt rushed. Harry says that it didn’t feel rushed to him and that there was ample time. Simon says that for people who are not on facebook, the one week notice of the agenda sent out with the constitutional changes would seem rushed to people and have limited discussion. Natasha says that even emailing out the proposed constitutional amendments people would not see the discussion. We agree that for the next AGM and any upcoming SGM’s, as proposed constitutional changes come in they will be emailed out.
  *   Simon mentions that it was shorter than some committee meetings.

• Fresher Re-Welcome

  *   Next week ideally. -
  *   Katherine will make an event.
  *   Organise that with screenings

• Relay for Life

  *   Harry has an essay very shortly after so he’ll not be there.
  *   Need more advertising. Facebook posts
  *   Replace finley’s tumblr with relay for life
  *   Tins will be coming soon

• Charity Vigil

  *   Katherine meeting at 1pm today
  *   Set our meeting one hour too early for this

• Halloween Party

  *   Not a lot news.

• CWAP

  *   No further news on CWAP. still interested, they are big into memes. They are perfect for us.

• Camp

  *   Jack is wasting away with back-end logistics with changing location.
  *   Sent us an email with activities list. Jack wants a camp meeting.
  *   Our event id has 666 and 69 in it according to Ern Halliday.
  *   Remain a subcommittee so we don’t have to give notice and can just give notes atnormal committee meeting. Open to everyone. People can come and give ideas
  *   First Aid stuff is happening, Theo will get his.
  *   No singlets rule for Ern Halliday activities on the site.



3. Screenings

• Monday - GoT/American Gods w/Nat
• Tuesday - Danganronpa w/Fin
• Wednesday - Wynnona Earp w/Annique
• Thursday  -Fresher Re-Welcome w/Katherine and  Book Club w/Leah
• Friday - Rwby w/Harry  or Okja w/Harry depending when Rwby ends. and one-offs from now on.

• Friday is a bad day for ongoing screenings and so it’ll just be one off screenings.


4. Tenancy

• Special Projects Application
• Recieved 500 which is decent - did say that they required proof of purchase.

• Need to submit to tenancy stuff about the compact bookshelves

5. Finance Stuff

• Fridge runs - Jack will do one with Annique this week about this

• Biscuits for fresher re-welcome

6. General business
