Absences: None

Begin: 4:30

1. Committee Reports

President

Signed up for mental health training, had a camp meeting, two shadow quizmittee meetings, lots of organisation for quiz night. Sale model of unisfa clubroom, acquired a coffee machine maybe.

Vice President

Done many camp related things, conversations with Kasey and have been tweaking details on other stuff.

Secretary

The EMP was approved for the pyjama party and I have confirmed some more stuff with Patrice, the head of Student Assistance and will go into more about in the events part. And I was not able to go to the camp scrubmittee.

Treasurer

Not a lot done, money is still alive, made a deposit, chatted to various committee members about budgeting for various events.

Librarian

Went to the city for quiz night prizes and came back with several hundred dollars worth and some really great stuff. Also got books for book removal list and ran two screenings which went well.

Fresher Rep

signed up a fresher, they are alive and fresh. Joined forces with unigames and have a full fresher table, attended camp scrubmittee meeting, and will sign up for mental health first aid course.

OCM Report - Finley

camp scrubmittee was good, was there and did their best and planned new screening.

OCM Report - Jack

Snuck into Camp meeting, quizmittee stuff, first LARP meeting with Kurt. organised a screening.

OCM Report - Kurt

Finally feeling human, went to LARP meeting. camp posters have started to be made.

2. Events

  *   Unisfa Goes to Panto

  * It was a good pantomime, people enjoyed it. We should do this again.

  *   Cameron Hall Quiz Night

  * Friday night, come down and buy tickets, need to buy tickets if you have a table organised. If you have bought them but don’t have the tickets, please get them from a committee member. will be super fun, lots of bright ideas, see Annique dressed up and they will take bribes, officially. Don’t buy drugs.

  *   Cameron Hall First Aid

  * Is a thing, and a go. Sign up if you want to.

  *   Unisfa Goes Alien

  * Same day as first aid. in evening going to see new film at Innaloo, official screening times still not out and Kai has not decided when they will start screening the movies. We need to make sure there will be someone to hold the room. Annique will go to the screening as will Brooke.

  *   Unisfa Goes Zoo

  * slight hiccup with money, need a purchase order to pay there, not something we can do in this time frame, everyone will bring money on the day, or we withdraw money and then receive money from people there. Harry will monitor paying back. Ed will carry the float. Prices not quite confirmed, 17$ pp, or $16 if Ed gets in for free depending on numbers on the day.

  *   Unisfa/UWAnime events

  *   No updates yet

  *   Halloween Party

  * Very far away, probably need a subcommittee made in semester 2. Annique will talk to Julia from Panto

  *   Physics Club Scavenger Hunt

  *   no updates yet

  *   LARP

  * Kurt took some lovely notes, he will post the minutes in the committee page. Unisfa is working with Bram for aesthetics and logistics of decorating and setting up cameron hall. Co-ordinating with Panto for that. Big LARP, early next year, mini LARP mid year. Annique wants Kurt to bring up the rearranging of Unisfa clubroom.

  *   Welfare Week

  * We are getting stress balls from Patrice and she give a talk at 2 to the clubroom at the Pyjama party on the Friday. will do Ghibli movies for it and a combined bake day and bob ross screening on the Tuesday

  *   Relay for Life

  * We’ve gotten emails about this years relay for life, Ed suggests putting an OCM on it. It’s a fun time and spend time with friends. Committee will do ruin committee’s hair again to raise money. Simon has offered up to make him wear pink leopard print jeggings at the relay if enough money is raised. If more money is raised, Simon will wear them on Mondays. Kurt is put in charge of it because he knows what the cool kids like.

  *   Camp

  * Scrubmittee looked at RMP, sign up sheet, we can do archery! Can do as long as Kasey is okay with it but because of the insurance stuff Ed sent along it shouldn’t be knocked back. On June 24th, Ed and Finley will go to see the place because the map they sent did not show the doors. Also they’ll look at locations and where the LARP will be.

3. Screenings

  *   Monday - Lucifer w/Simon
  *   Tuesday - Final Fantasy w/Tom
  * Wednesday - Committee meeting and Twin Peaks w/Annique
  *   Thursday - Book Discussion w/Leah
  * Friday - Danger Five w/Annique if Theo can’t make it then Predator

4. Facebook Pages

  * Harry agrees that not enough people are coming to the screenings this year as they were last year. Annique agrees as people are not realising that they can join the page and the screenings themselves are important for the clubroom and new members.
  * Tim says that Facebook is designed to get notifications and if you don’t want notifications, turn them off.
  * Jack says that it is inhibiting people coming to screenings as people don’t know about the page
  * Annique says that people are getting a lot of notifications. Could they click not going? Some people don’t want to and they get inundated with invitations
  * Annique says that Uni Sfa is working, might use that instead. The event will be posted on unisfa if Uni Sfa creates it but you will only get invited if you are friends with Uni Sfa.
  * Annique recommends abolishing the screening page and have a transitionary page. Make sure that people can discuss this and get used to the idea and then use the Uni Sfa Deepthought page for screenings.
  * Ed brings up that some people including older members who are more interested in big events and not screenings and friended Uni Sfa because of that. Annique and Jack ask whether these people come to big events?
  * Ed thinks that it could be due to poorly advertised screening page
  * Annique says that it is difficult though to constantly advertise
  * Natasha says that there are a lot of things already to add new members into with the group page, the screenings page and Uni Sfa.
  * Katherine asks about how the Facebook pages run currently
  * Ed suggests that someone should get the feedback, Annique volunteers for this
  * Annique brings up the comments from the last minutes posting, we need to advertise the opt-in part,
  * Jack says that we shouldn’t split our demographic and that in an ideal world it would be opt-out but that’s not happening
  * Annique moves to advertise the shutting down of the screenings page and in two weeks close it down for good.
  * Motion to shut down the screenings page in 2 weeks - Motion passes unanimously
  * This week will continue with screening page, then second week will be both Uni Sfa and screenings page and then after the 2 week period the screenings page will be shut down.
  * Annique also suggests do a periodic friending of everyone starting next semester with Uni Sfa.
  * We will discuss the pinned posts in a weeks time, Annique will make a post about it on the Facebook page.

5. Book Removal

  * Simon wants to clear the free books at the end of semester
  * Jack says that it’s good to have them there, but they will grow exponentially
  * Annique suggests selling them with doubles at Swancon,
  * some may just need to be given away

  *   Please send ideas!

  * could only be used by committee members and CCC
  * will take up a chair and space for seating is important
  * Mould is a thing with hot water
  * could be on a trolley outside like the wheeley book thing
  * Ed brings up that we could have to get food safety things to have it as it’s a machine and food needs to be properly stored
  * Annique will see whether the machine works or not first and then discuss it next meeting
  * Annique will still like a place that we incorporate a place for tea, coffee and things.
