Things for Your Eyes

  *   The Cameron Hall-erween Party is happening on the 4th of November in the CCZ! Buy your tickets now or buy them at the door for $20! It is an 18+ event with costumes highly encouraged! Tickets can be bought here: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=325205


  *   The Halloween Writing Competition submission time is finished! Simon would like to have feedback on how you think it went! If you have any ideas/suggestions please email him at unisfa-librarian at ucc.guild.uwa.edu.au<mailto:unisfa-librarian at ucc.guild.uwa.edu.au>. All feedback is appreciated.


  *   We are getting a new logo! We need your help to come up with an amazing idea to represent our club’s interests that will hopefully last for a while. To submit an idea just message either Natasha or Theo  a general description of your idea and maybe a draft of your idea. Submissions will close on the 8th of December so happy brainstorming!


  *   Camp tickets can now be bought! You just need to be a Unisfa member over 18 to enjoy a LARP, book clubs, screenings, dramatic readings and other cool rad stuff with Unisfa people. Sign up in the Unisfa Clubroom!


  *   Guess who’s got the best club in Cameron Hall and is making a podcast? These guys! We’re looking to do a podcast over the summer break and are just wanting to get an idea of who is interested in doing what whether it be writing/acting/sound production or just want to be a part of it in some way! We want people of all experience and skill levels so just join the podcast Facebook group Uniscast that’s part of the Unisfa Facebook group and get involved!

1. Committee Reports

President

Did stuff, did a lot for halloween, organised alcohol with tav, went halloween shopping, have a plan, confirmed floor plan and stuff, is very excited, have talked to the fringe people with suggestions and comments, got feedback from other people about the event, in assignment hell

Vice President

Did a screening and it went well, we were all screaming, got confirmation for Danger 5 thing, been compiling the last camp documents so now just need to send them to Kasey, still to do is quiz night and LARP. In assignment hell

Secretary

I’ve talked to UCC about emails, gone to a halloween subcommittee meeting, got more decorations, gone to some screenings.

Treasurer

Obtained air con and some pies, also doing the grant and most of it is done. Went to screenings, talked to Ed about star wars stuff

Librarian

Helped out with halloween stall, finished up CWAP thing, got an air con and went on fridge run, in assignment hell

Fresher Rep

Made a fresher post for the halloween party, gave Harry the list, put up christmas tree the day after halloween, have seen freshers. In assignment hell

OCM Report - Finley

Did things, ran some screenings, looked more into podcasts. In assignment hell

OCM Report - Kurt

Have achieved nothing, in assignment hell,

OCM Report - Theo

Did complete assignments, organised box of food, had a thought about updating signage but only after logo change, in assignment hell.

2. Events

  *   Podcast

  *   lot of interest by people, had a lot of people want to do voice acting, producing, the space for it seems good, everything is going great for it!
  *   Finley’s worked out some good outlines for the writers meetings
  *   Happening after camp so we can sort out stuff during the summer.

  *   Star Wars

  *   Ed wants to do a marathon screening on Tuesday 12th
  *   Machete order at a lecture theatre?
  *   People may want to watch the first movie so just do it chronologically
  *   Midnight screening Thursday for new movie
  *   Better to do this at uni and not in a cinema so we can shitpost during it
  *   We’ll run it by Ed
  *   Make posters for it and get the emp done

  *   Pyjama party

  *   Harry can you get some milk/biscuits for the next fridge run?
  *   Everything else is sorted

  *   Relay for Life

  *   Need to get the tin sorted
  *   Kurt is on that

  *   Halloween Party

  *   that’s happening on saturday, exciting, on track for selling tickets, halloween decorations,
  *   have the prizes now for costumes,
  *   have a schedule for RSA’s and first aiders now
  *   setting up all saturday
  *   have a photographer ready for it
  *   have any questions contact Natasha or Annique

  *   CWAP

  *   all done! Have the 9 winners, Corin won the short story and Rohan came third! We’re very proud,
  *   all went according to plan, CWAP is excited to do this again. Maybe Easter next year?
  *   now have a recurring collaboration event which is nice
  *   more advertising in the clubroom and reminder posts
  *   annique says that this time was tricky for people because some people have assessments due
  *   Simon says that maybe christmas next year instead of halloween because of assessment period
  *   make a post about that you can now read them on the CWAP website

  *   LARP

  *   probably february 6-8,  depends on when renovations are because Cameron hall will be inaccessible during this time.
  *   need to find this out so we can figure this out.
  *   Liam would like the CCZ for the play area and Cameron Hall for admin stuff
  *   need to make advertising really good

  *   Camp

  *   is soon, on the way and just over 4 weeks away.
  *   food needs to be sorted, Natasha and Annique will meet on sunday to discuss
  *   we have enough people to ferry things to the camp


3. Screenings

  *   Monday - Star Wars Rebels w/Ed
  *   Tuesday - District 9 w/James
  *   Wednesday - De-Stress Pyjama Party w/Natasha
  *   Thursday - Shitposts with Finley
  *   Friday - American horror Story Coven w/Finley



4. Tenancy


  *   Bookshelves

  *   the receipt will be coming soon and will then be good for the semester 2 grant


5. Finance Stuff


     *   Air Con

     *   has been bought and we can officially announce the name
     *   It is ‘Me (Turn "Me" on/off/up make referring to the aircon awkward for everyone)’

     *   Grant Application

     *   Harry is almost done with it and everything is scanned in

     *   First Aid kit

     *   Harry will run through a checklist to get everything stocked back up

     *   Fridge Runs

     *   this Saturday Harry will get more stuff to stock up on



6. General business

     *   Logo change

     *   no new submissions this week
     *   Theo has idea for during camp have chill out sessions where you can draw a new logo if you want to.

     *   Exams

     *   look into peoples exams timetables for committee meetings

     *   Facebook change

     *   Theo would like to change the icon for unisfa on Facebook from a football
     *   Annique and Harry condemn that because we are a sports club
     *   We all agree that that could be a good thing to change
     *   We decide we’ll look into it.

     *   Unedited proof books

     *   Simon says that they are illegal and no-one has ever borrowed them out
     *   They are illegal because they are not allowed to be sold or owned really
     *   Jack disagrees and thinks they’re cool because other libraries may not have them making ours unique
     *   Simon says that no-one has ever borrowed them
     *   Annique doesn’t want to remove them because she doesn’t want to just throw them out
     *   It’s just formatting and spelling errors in the unedited proof books, really just a less grammatically correct version of the published book
     *   Simon is not comfortable with keeping them due to the illegality
     *   Annique would like to see how much space we have and see if it becomes an issue
     *   Next librarian can see how they feel when space becomes more of an issue
     *   Annique suggests putting them in a different space when we have the compact bookshelves

     *   Emails

     *   Natasha and Goz have changed the mailing list and it should all be working now.
