* Simon doored Edward Kamman for 1 minute because Edward had been doored by every other club and wanted to be doored by every club. Simon refused until Edward threw a pillow violating our no throwing policy
* The committee approves this dooring.
3. Events
* SOC Meeting
* There is going to be a UWA Fringe like an Arts festival/carnival that they want clubs involved in.
* club awards are coming up, 1st October, we can apply.
* Finley wonders whether we count as a best club, we all rally to defend our name in that we run events and do things
* Best President award is coming up hint hint.
* Guild Ball is also coming up.
* There are money prizes so now people are very interested.
* The President announces that she thinks that we are a better club than Unigames.
* LARP
* need to do a Facebook event, Jack did not go to the Larp meeting, and Kurt says that we have all the information that we need but not sure anything else.
* Andre wants to bring south african barbecue which could make tickets more expensive.
* Sausage Sizzle and Screening
* Facebook event has been booked
* Annique and Kurt can go to get sausages, veggie sausages on the wednesday. bread, gluten free bread
* Relay for Life
* fundraising events, they are good, Thanks to Katherine for sacrificing her hair.
* natasha spoke to Kasey and she is very excited by the idea of a swap meet and thinks that we should think bigger about making it in the ref instead of just in the loft
* Annique would love to think bigger with using the Ref and advertising outside the club, week leading up to could put clothes somewehere so that way people don’t have to bring so much stuff on one day
* tickets or something to be exchanged for clothes
* Annique has camp meeting on monday so can bring it up as well.
* we want to do raise money than Unigames and win the battle tin
* Simon brings up that the battle tin is just for laps on the day\
* We’re happy to lose the battle tin and win the war
* Simon has ordered the rainbow leopard print leggings and denim hot pants as long as people raise over $50 for him to wear them while doing the relay for life
* Simon agrees to matching hair with leggings as option for ruin committee’s hair.
* Multicultural Week
* starts 2nd October, spring feast 5th October,
* Have an international themed book club on the thursday.
* Multicultural horror maybe?
* Corin wants to screen Pan’s labyrinth, city of lost children,
* break all of the regular screenings except for book club,
* ask CCC and members about other multicultural screenings.
* CWAP writing workshop on the 3rd, maybe they could do it in unisfa,
* Charity Vigil
* It’s happening, about to be advertised, just need okay from charity’s to use their logos on the poster,
* Haven’t had another meeting since last one,
* need to make a schedule to make sure people in the clubroom at all times.
* coin donation for the coffee/tea/hot chocolate
* Sponsor Crawl
* Emp has been approved, gotten emails from stefan’s and quality comics, yet to hear from comic zone and white dwarf.
* Harry wants to lower the amount from last semester to $400
* Simon says that we should keep the same amount as last time with $600
* Annique says that maybe we should have smaller buys throughout the semester covering the same amount
* Simon says that we’re doing the same amount as last year
* Annique says that they raised it quite a lot last year and we should be looking to quality of books rather than just spending a lot
* Simon says that we should be able to keep the quality and spend the money
* Jack wants to buy the Necronomicon
* It has been stolen 5 times in the past
* Simon says he is not inclined to get a new copy because people keep stealing it and it is very expensive
* Jack says that that means that people really want it if it has been stolen that many times
* Annique suggests that if people are not allowed to borrow it or more safeguards to stop people stealing it.
* Kurt just found a copy for $35 on book depository which Simon is more interested in.
* Halloween
* Natasha went to Halloween meeting and told panto and Unigames that Unisfa would not be doing a halloween haunted house
* Unigames have since said that they don’t want to do the halloween haunted house because not enough clubs are involved.
* natasha also spoke to the Sunken Garden people and it will cost $250/hour for the weekend and total cost for one night on the weekday will be $700 but that doesn’t include food, decorations, security guard and fencing things off
* Unigames is not that willing to spend that much because ticket prices will go up
* Meeting with Kasey about this. Kasey suggested that sunken garden could be doable if we put in a lot of hard work
* She also suggested looking at lawn bowls halls or even booking the whole CCZ because guild events were already looking into doing a haunted house in the CCZ for halloween
* It would be free and we could get alcohol as long as it is 4 hours with under 75 people.
* Annique at first not that enthused about CCZ then realised that you could really go hard with like audiovisual room stuff, and really spooky focus areas like skeletons and things.
* Ticket prices could be $20 or less.
* Simon asks whether we would make it $20 for members and $25 for non-members
* Annique says that as there’s a limit on tickets, we should limit it to cameron hall people.
* Annique would like to be another rep for the halloween subcommittee
* Alaura says that should be okay.
* CWAP
* plan is to have facebookevent up this weekend, or monday next week. Simon and CWAP have figured out what we want to put on the event so it’s all fairly easy
* couple concerns, reviewing and voting - current policy is that if you submit a prose/poetry, you must review at least 2 other things. otherwise your votes get cut in half
* other thing is to combat people who get friends to vote for them.
* current system that anyone who didn’t submit anything vote worth half as much.
* considered student email only, people who aren’t students who put in pieces though
* Kurt says that you could only get to vote on 5 and make it randomised
* Simon says that it could be too complicated and create it’s own issues.
* CWAP have an algorithm to sort this out which works.
* Annique is concerned that a lot of this is promoting CWAP stuff so we need something that draws people into unisfa as well.
* Writing workshop on the 3rd of October
* prompts can start putting in prompts on the 2nd.
* Unisfa is offering 20$ prize for 1st place and other cash and book prizes for other places
* everyone gets a lollybag and can get a certificate if they want.
* Annique would like to buy a creative writing compendium for the club
* Murder Mystery night
* Natasha had the idea with Unigames and panto people to have a murder mystery for the summer using game masters, writers and just people to come up with a cool mystery to solve
* Hopefully in the summer
* people are interested in general.
* Fringe at UWA
* Festival going on with PAC and we’re technically a PAC club.
* art, music, installation, basically Fringe but on campus and UWA stuff,
* we could get involved in some way which could be cool.
* CWAP might want to be involved with spoken word events
* we could do like a live podcast thing.
* Annique wants us to think bigger and launch into bigger events
* Book swap idea from Annique, like a take a book, leave a book stand
* only doubles and maybe our free book section
* Unisfa is interested in it.
* Camp
* had a meeting,
* did the itinerary, changing things over and made Theo replace a lot of Ed’s stuff
* Jack will post the itinerary on the committee page so we can go over it,

* Coins
* we need more coins so Harry will go to Finance about it.
* Fridge Runs
* Harry will not be able to do a fridge run this weekend but will stock up for charity vigil throughout the week.
6. General business
* Library policy changes
* If you have an overdue book you cannot get out any new books until you return new ones.
* you also cannot renew the book while it’s overdue
* 3 members of committee had overdue books so they’re bringing in their books
* The librarian can now restrict people from borrowing books as well
* Simon will make this like dooring someone so it has to come to committee as well.
* Clubroom Rule
* The rule no campaigning in the clubroom has not been an official clubroom rule so Simon would like to make it one,
* Annique says that CCC and committee can already door people for reasons not in the rules.
* Simon says that people have said that it the clubroom rules for a while and former committee members have said that many times to people which is misleading.
* Annique says that rule is there because it’s just annoying for people and it is difficult to define campaigning in the clubroom.
* Jack suggests that it can come under harassment which we can also door people for
* Simon says that he’s okay with that as long as people stop telling members that campaigning is against clubroom rules
* Motion to make no campaigning a clubroom rule - motion fails with 2 votes for and 7 votes against
* Top of the fridge
* Katherine would like to tidy up the top of the fridge and work out how to clean it all up.
* Cardboard sections on fridge door
* Theo would like to get better dividers for the fridge as the cardboard ones are pretty gross
* Jack agrees as he threw out a few earlier in the year because of how bad they got
* Harry
* fridge needs to be restocked and OCM’s will need to help out
* Harry would like an OCM to fill the beanbags - Kurt will do the beanbags and katherine will help
