Things for Your Eyes
* Uncharity vigil is happening this Saturday from 4pm until Sunday morning. Entry is free but donations are strongly encouraged. Come for the Slime Factory and stay for the screenings, dramatic readings and jackbox games!
* Oday is on the 23rd of February this year so we’ll be having a stall on the day and we would love to have people in the clubroom to welcome new freshers while you also sing up yourself to Unisfa again.
* AGM is on the 9th of March this year at 1pm so please come along and do a democracy with everyone and run/vote for the next committee!
* LARP is happening again on Saturday February 10 at 11am so come down and have fun with with Cameron Hall people!

1. Committee Reports
President
Applied for oday stall, went for bigger one, renovation stuff, mostly just doing clubroom stuff. The clubroom is looking really and good and thanks to everyone who’s been helping out
Vice President
renovations and stuff, that’s about it
Secretary
Japan, got back from Japan and then did some painting.
Treasurer
Transported things for the renovations, bought items for the renovations, assisted with renovations.
Librarian

been planning uncharity vigil, slime factory is happening, renovation stuff as well

2. Events
* LARP
* Nothing has happened since last report but get fired up
* Ice-Skating
* Guild was down for a while and emps weren’t able to go through, Kasey has been good about it because it’s just technical issues, Annique will talk to Kasey about it
* Maybe a fresher thing? Will decide further down the track
* Un-charity vigil
* We have a timetable, Finley made it, primarily using matilda bay foreshore for slime factory because we can’t book Oak Lawn, dramatic readings, with slime factory paid voting will be involved, pizza orders $10 per pizza, 7-9 first movie auction, jackbox, opt out zumba at 3am, movie auctions from then on
* money from pizzas will be split between the clubs, everything else made will be for each club
* Simon will make a post asking for movies/games people want to put up for auction to be played.
* Podcast
* Annique has put a call out for the next meeting, rotate 2 days every week,
* O day
* Friday the 23rd, Annique has booked the stall and requested power, same set-up as Open Day, committee should be free, encourage people to come and hang out in the clubroom, at least 2 or 3 people on the stall so we can send people to give freshers tours
* 10am - 3:30pm
* 9am for set up time to get electrical stuff like a couple fans,
* split up in half with one half for table and signing up, one half for books and beanbags,
* make sure that the actual clubroom still looks good
* still going to have a separate spotters guide and an actual fresher guide - put something in the fresher guides about the 40th anniversary
* Fresher Welcome
* O week is the 17th to the 23rd.
* Sausage sizzle on ref courtyard/oak lawn area, fairy bread, fresher book club discussion?
* first week of uni, thursday would work because fridays are usually bad for people, March 1st then, maybe do a book club discussion?
* Annique will do the emp,
* Katherine will make the 2018 freshers page
* Club Re-opening
* Have a ribbon and everything, on the 26th of february, fake champagne and stuff, chill thing
* Drive in cinema
* Next time a sci-fi/fantasy movie, it’d be good to get a carpool thing happening
* Finley will be looking into it
* Semester 1 writing competition
* Simon is talking to Cwap about this years writing competition,
* so whoever is next Librarian can have all the foundations sorted

* An event is up, Natasha will make some posts about stuff like constitution changes,
3. Screenings
* Monday - What We do in the Shadows/Twilight - Harry

4. Tenancy
* Couches
* do we want extra couches for seating?
* we’ll wait until we’ve seen the new layout and can work out what space we have

* done a lot with the room, second coat of the red will start today, and edges,
* friday put everything back in and doing an audit
5. Finance Stuff
* Renovations purchases, Harry will work out the final total once we’re done with it

* Harry’s doing a fridge run on friday before coming back to helping an audit
6. General business

* The committee is interested in having a public page set up instead of a private group,
* Have major events advertised on the public page and minor screenings on the private group
* Kurt brings up the safety of events but that could just be
* Annique wants a public page for the 40th anniversary
* Simon brings up the issue of clique-ness with a private page and a public page - as just a concern
* Annique says that this could help against clique-ness with providing an in for people
* Theo will talk to her about the banner of our Facebook
* Advertising and boosting events - unanimous vote
* Natasha asks about how the next committee will deal with this
* Annique says that it’s easy to undo so next committee can just remove it if they are not happy with it
* will make a post about setting up the public page next week and then setting it up
* approved only posts for the public page and private jokes and things for the private group
* Annique wants to know how we feel about an advertising budget to boost events such as picnics and a halloween party
* Vote to establish a budget for certain events on the public page - Motion passes unanimously
* Handover guide
* everyone writing individual guides and then putting some stuff together for it
* have them together by the 23rd so two weeks before the handover guide

* Theo will see the graphic designer today, will also ask about Facebook banners
