From davidb-0624@rcpt.to Wed Oct 20 02:42:28 2004 From: davidb-0624@rcpt.to (David Basden) Date: Wed, 20 Oct 2004 10:42:28 +0800 Subject: [URC] AR Licence Talk this afternoon Message-ID: <20041020024227.GD2100@shikita.rcpt.to> Hi guys, Sorry about the late notice for actually posting this to the list if I haven't mentioned it to you in person yet. In the desire to have any event this semester, there will be a talk at 5:30 this afternoon in the Cameron Hall loft on how to get your Amateur Radio licence. If there isn't much turnout because of the time or the notice, we'll be able to repeat the talk if people are still interested. If you can't come, but are interested, or know of someone else that would be interested in future, let me know so I can plan for next time. See you tonight if you're free. David From nick@ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au Wed Oct 20 16:22:36 2004 From: nick@ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au (Nick Bannon) Date: Thu, 21 Oct 2004 00:22:36 +0800 Subject: [URC] AR Licence Workshop, Sunday 28th November Message-ID: <20041020162235.GA192373@morwong.ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au> So... to kick ourselves along a bit, URC is planning to hold an amateur radio license workshop during UCCCamp 2004. ( UCCCamp is from 26th-28th November 2004 Darling Range Adventure Camp, Pickering Brook http://camp.ucc.asn.au/ 32.03297 South 116.11014 East Elevation 282m ) We're thinking midday-4pm on Sunday 28th November (happy birthday to me!) - if you only want to come along to that, you needn't come to the whole UCC camp, of course, but it'll be fun! It occurs to me that we need to check the timing - do we have to leave that morning by 10am or anything? We'll probably be able to cover what we need to easily pass the proposed Foundation class exam, try out Shig's rig, and listen to a regular broadcast that goes out on Sundays.
