[Wizard] Audio drivers

Does the distro that comes pre-installed on the PC have audio drivers
installed? I don't have the audio header cables yet because Netway were
sold out when I bought mine, but after I installed:

audiofile-0.1.9-3.i386.rpm
esound-0.2.20-0.i386.rpm
mpg123-0.59r-4.i386.rpm
=20
I get the following messages:
=20
/dev/dsp: No such device - seven times, then
audio: No such device
=20
Have I missed installing something? Thanks,
