In the past I've booted from a DOS floppy, but I don't remember that being available. Dragging Adrian's out here, the POST time is a couple of seconds. What is it waiting on? I'm really bright, and just dist-upgraded to debian testing, and forgot to rerun LILO. Anyone wanna see a paperweight that boots and says "LI"? Oh well, time to rip out the HDD again. On the bright side, the XFree86 4.3 drivers seem to work, and with VLC, I should be able to get it at least doing some rudimentary video decoding (if I transcode it on a server first to something not too CPU intensive). All I need to do is get PAL composite from VGA. Anyone tried this? David
