Yep, I suspect the pattern-messed-up-by-early-subs thing is likely to
be a bit of an issue.
I think the best solution is just for everyone to keep track of how
long they've been off and aim for 6-to-9 mins bench time per half in
either 1 or 2 breaks. It probably won't end up exactly even, but it
should be fairly close.
If there's anyone who should be on towards the end of a close game,
they should just make sure they have their bench time earlier in the
second half.
