I'm not sure I understand what you're saying -- do you mean that a
leather couch is likely to require more maintenance than a cloth one?
I'm really not sure about this -- I've never owned a leather couch,
but I'd imagine that they're a lot more resistant to getting torn up
like the current couch. At the same time, I suppose the leather could
start to degrade pretty quickly. I'm not really a sofa expert.
Of course any furniture left in UCC is going to end up in pretty poor
condition eventually... which is why we want to replace the current
cloth one.
The committee approved spending $200 on a single couch during the
meeting on the 30th May.
