Hi Joshua,
This evening, it was discovered that you were using the UCC network to
download a copy of Dexter via a torrent. This is in contravention of UWA's
Network Policy and by extension UCC's Network Account Policy. I have
stopped the torrent and deleted the partially downloaded file.
Do not use UCC's network as a means of breaching copyright, and do not use
it for torrenting with many connections because it causes a significant
strain on the whole network. Our bandwidth is limited enough as it is.
This would normally result in your account being suspended until the
committee sees fit to enable it once again. However, because this is so
close to the end of second semester, it might be some time before the
committee is able to meet again. Therefore I am only issuing a warning,
consider it your only warning. If you are caught breaching the UCC Network
Account Policy again, your account will be locked.
