Just to clarify, the model I proposed can do punctuation and symbols, 
there's just no easy button for it and it will require several button 
presses. I spent an hour looking at other labellers as well as the cost 
and range available for matching tapes. Given the cost of alternative 
tapes is double the cost of the Dymo tapes, and the fact that it will be 
used relatively infrequently, I still think my original proposal is the 
best.

Also, for large productions of labels with IP addresses, it would be as 
simple as deleting the numbers, leaving the four dots on the screen and 
then putting in new numbers. We could also save four dots as a stored 
label to make things faster the next time. So not all that 
terrible/unusable in my opinion.
