Hi, this is Oscar Hermoso, in case you didn't realise by my email adress,
and this is my application to become a door member.
==== Open Questions ====
Why do you want to be on door?
- So that I can hold open the room. That's about it.
What difference will putting you on door make?
- I'll be able to hold open the clubroom for those that cannot. I have
completed a first aid course ( Apply First Aid - HLTFA301B, it's
expiring before the end of the year) and am level 14 in the WA Learn
to Swim program. Hopefully I don't have to use either of the latter.
==== Can You Find And Read The Policy Questions ====
Where would you find door policy?
Where would you find the "Door Note"?
Why do we have door members?
-So that someone can be held liable when stuff goes wrong. That, and
to hold the door open.
What are the 3 key attributes of door members?
-Responsibility, Courtesy and Honesty.
There's a fire in the machine room. What do you do?
(Please include who you should contact at the university, with a phone number.)
-1. Get everyone out of the room.
2. Call the university 2222 , and then the Guild on 2295.
3. Notify the committee of the event.
Who should you contact with questions/concerns about the policy?-Via
phoning the UCC on (08) 6388 3901, or by mailing
committee at ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au.
==== Other Useful Things To Know ====
(ask someone who is on door or committee for help if you have no idea)
What is the coke machine code to unlock the door?
-Log in, the type 55.
If someone is violent, refuses to leave, or otherwise poses a danger
to people or property, you should call UWA Security. What is their
number? Give both the emergency and non-emergency numbers. (Hint: This
information is posted above the phone in the clubroom.)
-Emergency number is 2222, non-emergency security is 3020.
At what time of night will security come around to kick you out if
Committee hasn't got a letter from the Guild permitting people to be
in Cameron Hall?
-Security will come around at 11 PM.
==== Harder Questions ===
(ask someone who is on wheel or committee for help if you have no idea)
Please briefly describe how the door system works (what runs on what,
what programs, what hardware).
-Runs on Merlo, goes through USB relay 1, connected to a solenoid in
the door, which opens the door.
If for some reason you cannot dispense door from the snack machine,
how else should you open the door (there are at least 2 methods)?
- Go through terminal, or find a member on committee who should have a
key (not including fresher rep).
Who has clubroom keys on their person and who is able to get the
*clubroom* key out from guild reception?
-As of the latest meeting all committee members besides fresher rep
will have clubroom keys and will be able to retrieve them from the
guild reception.
Please list all the things you need to check are done/locked before
leaving Cameron Hall.
-If I am the last door member to leave UCC, kick out /make sure there
are no other people in the room. Check that the server room and metal
cupboard are locked, and that the soldering iron is off. Close the
door to UCC. If I am the last to leave Cameron Hall, close/lock the
entrances to Cameron Hall.
====
Thanks,
Oscar
