Hi all,
Fortunately, Tenancy has provided us with all the dates for their
busybees / inspections in 2019 and so we can schedule all our cleanups
for the coming year in advance. Cleanups will take place on Saturday
starting at 11am, include free pizza for all attendees around lunchtime
and hopefully finish before 4pm.
These are the cleanup dates for 2019:
* Saturday 19th January 2019
* Saturday 16th March 2019
* Saturday 4th May 2019
* Saturday 6th July 2019
* Saturday 29th September 2019
* Saturday 16th November 2019 [?]
Please go to the new registration page
<https://www.ucc.asn.au/events/busybee2019.html> and select which
cleanups you will be attending this year. It would be much appreciated
if you can commit to attending at least 2 cleanups so the workload can
be more fairly distributed.
To make everyone's lives easier, you are not expected to send apologies
for cleanups which you are not marked as attending. If, for whatever
reason, you can't make it to a cleanup which you are marked as attending
then please let us know in advance (by email to either
committee at ucc.asn.au or committee-only at ucc.asn.au).
In 2019, the Tenancy busybees and inspections will occur between 3-6pm
on Wednesdays (and followed by a Tenancy meeting at 6pm) however UCC
will continue to hold its cleanups on Saturday on the proviso that the
clubroom is kept clean enough to pass inspection for a few days.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you probably already know, O-day 2019 is coming up soon!
You will see on the busybee registration page
<https://www.ucc.asn.au/events/busybee2019.html>, there is an option to
register your interest to help out on the day. O-day starts at 10am on
Friday 22nd February 2019 and typically ends around 3pm. Allowing for
setup and packup times, we are looking for volunteers to assist in
running the stall in 2 hour shifts from 9am to 5pm on the day.
Any assistance you can provide will be very much appreciated.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, in preparation for a handover to next year's committee, there
is a large number of paper membership forms yet to be uploaded to
MemberDB <https://secure.ucc.asn.au/members/>.
If you are in the clubroom and have some spare time, please feel free to
login (using your UCC username and password) to the admin interface
<https://secure.ucc.asn.au/members> and enter the details on some of the
forms in the pile. Once you've done that, please place the forms into
the filing cabinet in the "2018 memberships" section in alphabetical order.
On a side note - we should not have to deal with paper forms again next
year, but unfortunately we're stuck with the old system for now :')
Thank you for your time and energy, and I hope you are all enjoying the
Christmas break.
Best regards,
Felix von Perger
UCC President
