Notably, it seems to have changed in the last 3 years - 
https://www.facebook.com/help/community/question/?id=10152091163960091 has 
a comment that quotes this link as saying 250 
https://www.facebook.com/help/231507983530573 but it now redirects to 
https://www.facebook.com/help/167159300010051 (as above) which says 500.
