Hi all,
Fortunately, Tenancy has provided us with all the dates for their
busybees / inspections in 2019 and so we can schedule all our cleanups
for the coming year in advance. Cleanups will take place on *Saturday
**starting**at 10am*, include free pizza for all attendees around
lunchtime and hopefully finish before 3pm.
__
_Cleanup dates for 2019_
* Saturday 19th January 2019
* *Saturday 16th March 2019*
* Saturday 4th May 2019
* Saturday 6th July 2019
* Saturday 29th September 2019
* Saturday 16th November 2019 [?]
If you would like to assist the club by attending cleanups, please go to
registration page <https://www.ucc.asn.au/events/busybee2019.html> and
select which cleanups you are able to attend. Any assistance you are
able to provide is greatly appreciated.
If you are helping out, *p**le**ase try to get there close as possible
to the start time*, as there is always a lot to do and it helps to be
able to plan around how many people will actually be present at the
start of the day.
From the registration form, the people who have said that they are
attending this next cleanup are as follows:
[FVP], [DBA], [KAT], [GIR], [ALI], [TPG], [CFE], [DIE], [MPT], [LCY], [THA]
FYI, the Tenancy busybees and inspections will occur between 3-6pm on
Wednesdays (and followed by a Tenancy meeting at 6pm) however UCC will
continue to hold its cleanups on Saturday on the proviso that the
clubroom is kept clean enough to pass inspection for the few days following.
_Door meeting_
We will be hosting a door meeting at*10am on Saturday* - all door
members are highly recommended to attend, even if you are not planning
to attend the cleanup itself.
The meeting will cover topics including, but not limited to;
* New signup system and online membership forms
* Review of door procedures and committee expectations
* Taking card payments with Square
* "Secret" benefits of being on door (and not just the spoons!)
We will also be using this as an opportunity for you to tell us what you
think and give some feedback on what things we should be doing / not
doing / doing better.
Finally, for anyone who is interested in being on door, now is the time
to apply. Simply follow the instructions under *Appendix B* of this page
<https://www.ucc.asn.au/infobase/policies/door.ucc>, and send an email
to the committee <mailto:committee at ucc.asn.au?cc=door at ucc.asn.au>. For
existing door members, now would also be a good time to reapply. [Note:
more information about this later, but it can't hurt to reapply just in
case :) ]<mailto:committee at ucc.asn.au>
Thanks as always to everyone who volunteers their time in service of the
club. Without you the club simply couldn't continue to exist.
Best regards,
Felix von Perger
UCC President
