Hi all,
As some of you might be aware, as of today, 5 December, the WA Government has made contact tracing registers mandatory for a range of businesses and venues. As best I can tell, as a community organization/club, that applies to UCC. It is also a privacy requirement for us to handle the contact tracing information confidentially.
I have signed up to the SafeWA app and printed a check-in QR code for the clubroom which is pinned to the board on the door. I have also printed out a stack of manual contact register slips and put them on the desk next to the door. To satisfy the requirements, people attending the clubroom will have to either:
* Scan the QR code on the door with the SafeWA app installed on their phone, or * Fill out one of the manual contact tracing slips, fold it and deposit it in the wall safe.
As the door member holding the room, it is your responsibility to both do this for yourself when you first arrive at the room, and to make sure everyone else attending the club for more than a "passing through" visit does the same. When someone arrives at the room make sure to explain what they need to do, including the two options and that they can do one or the other, and help them out if needed.
Cheers,
James [MPT]
