Hi Alexie
That is perfect. You can use this particular Safe WA QR code for any
events you are holding at UCC. You will not need to pass on the details
of anyone that registers this way.
Please note you will not be able to use this QR code if your event
occurs outside the UCC, as it works on a per location basis. For
example, if you hired a different UWA hall/lecture theatre you would
need a different QR code for that specific location or to use a manual
sign in form.
It is also a good idea to have a manual sign in option available at your
events anyway, as this gives attendees the choice of how they register.
You will need to pass on the information of anyone that registers
manually to Guild Events.
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any further
questions.
Kind regards
Tiana Lemke

Subject: Contact Tracing at UCC
Hi Tiana,
We have set up the WASafe QR code for contact tracing as UCC is a
registered business with an ABN. If you could please confirm whether we
fall under an exemption for this reason, that would be appreciated.

Hi James and Alexie
Taking effect from Saturday 5 December 2020, the WA State Government has
introduced mandatory contact registers as an extra safety measure
against COVID. This means ALL Guild affiliated club events will be
required to record and store event attendees contact data for 28 days.
Exemptions:
Small to medium events taking place outside
Events in licenced venues, sporting facilities and other venues who are
already required by the government to collect contact tracing details.
We require all clubs to email through their event contact tracing from
no later than 24 hours after the event. Guild Events will store the
contact tracing information and then dispose of the document 28 days
after the event.
Forms needs to be submitted to events at guild.uwa.edu.au and must include:
Date of event
Time of attendees arrival at event
Name of attendee
Contact number of attendee
If you would like to use the Safe WA app you can find more information
here:
https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/covid-communications/covid-19-coronavirus-safewa-guide-businesses
Please find attached a template for you to use to contact trace at your
events. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch
with the events team.
Kind regards
Tiana Lemke
