FYI, an update on timeline and deadlines for clubroom and locker moves.

We're lucky that we're not moving rooms, and our new locker was already empty. We are waiting on the returned key for the locker though. For now it is only accessible via borrowing a key from the GSC during business hours.

Cheers,

James [MPT]

Subject: IMPORTANT - Clubrooms

Dear all,

Due to the quick turnaround for both clubrooms and storage this week in preparation for O-Day:

I will be postponing the Clubroom Tenancy Agreement deadline to Monday the 22nd, 11:59PM. This means that as long as you submit the contract BY this date, you will be able to move into your room/storage spaces, regardless of whether Tenancy have or have not emailed you a contract confirmation.

At latest by Thursday 8:30AM, given that the clubroom you’re moving into has been fully moved out, you will be able to pick up your key. We will conducting checks every EOD and will follow up with emails as to when your clubroom will be available. Please move in ASAP when you have received this. Following from this, you can pick up a spare key for your new club room at the GSC. As not all club room keys have been returned (understandably, you should all still be moving out), the spare GSC club room key must be returned by 5PM that same day. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THIS KEY!

This is to ensure that clubs are still able to utilise their spaces and lockers for orientation despite any delays.

For example: Club A submits their contract on the 14th of Feb and have not yet received a contract confirmation back from Tenancy. If a key is available, and the previous tenants have moved out, they can loan it from the GSC and move in in time for O-Day.

It is imperative that even if your club has no reason to move out this week, that you take the appropriate actions to clear the room of your belongings for the other clubs to be able to move in by Friday the 19th, which is O-Day.

Please organise with your whole committee, a time for you all to work together and move items. If you are unable to move out this week, for any reason, please text or call me on 0404718888 and I will be able to help you ASAP. If you need to contact leaving/incoming tenants, I will also be able to help you reach them.

Additionally, if you’re a club currently with storage in Cameron Hall, please move out, store your items at home and then return your key ASAP before the 19th. A lot of other clubs need to use those lockers for O-Day as well, and only a few keys have been returned. If this isn’t done, I will be removing the items from all the lockers on Thursday night.

The reason why we haven’t been able to hand out keys to Cameron Hall lockers for incoming tenants is because we’ve only had 2 come back!

Thanks for your patience everyone. I know this isn’t easy, and it’s the current Guild’s (even staff) full Tenancy reallocation, but we’re getting past the gazillions of broken locks, missing keys and crazy timing to try our best to get your club ready for O-Day.

Again, please contact me if you need any help with moving.

Take care!

Kind regards,

Chloe Kam
