Make your work matter Whether you're preparing for severe weather or forecasting the daily weather – as a Bureau meteorologist you'll play a key role in Australian's businesses and everyday lives. You'll have opportunities to work with the aviation, defence and maritime industries, forecast for emergency services or space weather, support Australia's Antarctic operations, and more.

Be internationally recognised The Graduate Meteorology Program is the only program in Australia that offers an internationally recognised meteorology qualification that meets the World Meteorological Organization standard.
What you need to apply To be eligible for the program you'll need a science, engineering or other STEM degree with relevant studies in physics to first year level, and applied mathematics to second year level.
