Hi Ari,
Thank you for reaching out. Your workshop aligns well with Lab 1 in my Cybersecurity unit, where students are required to set up a Linux-based virtual machine. I believe this could be a great opportunity for them to gain additional support and hands-on experience.
I am happy to allocate some time at the beginning of the lecture in Week 1 for you to introduce UCC and its activities.
Regards,
Zhi

Subject: CITS1003 Lecture Bashing Request
Dear Dr Zhang,
My name is Ari and I’m writing to you as the Secretary of the University Computer Club (UCC).
Our club is always eager to engage with students from your Cybersecurity unit to share with them some information about our club and how to get involved in on-campus opportunities.
We are planning on running a workshop in Week 2 Tuesday (4th March) which covers the basics of how to set up a virtual machine and use Linux, either using our servers or their own device. As well as any other computer or tech related questions they have starting out. 😊
We hope this workshop will give students some more confidence and background knowledge for their studies, as well as fostering a supportive peer relationship.
If it works for you we would love a few minutes at the beginning of your lecture on Monday Week 1 or 2 to introduce our club and what activities and opportunities we can offer the students, i.e. the workshop I described earlier.
Thank you so much for your consideration! 😊
Regards,
Ari Carter
Secretary at The University Computer Club
