[Robocomp] Upcoming competition

Hello Robocomp mailing list,

Something has to be done to stop this from dying, so we shall have  
another event in one month from now (29/10/11).

Rik (nerz) and I are building a robot which will attempt to map rooms.  
Considering the accuracy of our proximity sensors, we may have  
variable success. So far we have created a chassis. Since we only  
started today, I feel that we do not have an unfair advantage. If you  
feel that we do, too bad.

You can either attempt to compete with Alf the super bot, or admit  
inevitable defeat and attempt a different task. Teams of two are  
recommended, but you can compete alone, or in groups of three or four  
if you wish.

As usual there will be chocolate for the most impressive robot. Alf is  
looking forward to it.

I will post updates on Alf on my website (maybe).
