Bugger - two fixes:

I decided this with a little help from Dunc and Yakk, not on my lonesome.

FIVE year warranty. I was distracted by a web-page with IDE disks
at the time.
I've send Seagate drives back for warranty returns - they're usually back
in 1-2 weeks, packed nicely & tested.
