I just remembered that I love vector tables. They save much time.
(Says I, who was about to search *forwards* for an lds/ldx pair
before I thought again.)
For those who are interested in starting out with the software for this,
how shall we manage this project? "Manage" is a relative term and I
expect that "manage" is to "not manage" as "back of an envelope" is to
"stick drawing in the sand at a beach". But nevertheless, given that we
all have limited time, it would be good to get as much documentation
clarified amongst ourselves as soon as possible, rather than wait until
after we've all managed to eventually get around to sort of having a
good-ish look. That way it can be picked up by others easier, and those
who don't have as much time to spend on it can benefit from the work of
those who *have* had time to work on it (it'd be nice to to have all the
details sitting in only one person's head). Basically, I'd like to know
what others are thinking and 'cos I'm likely to forget everything I
would like to have our thoughts written down in some digestable
"study-notes" manner. Also, I know (almost) nothing of the mechanical
and electrical design of the vending machine (except that it goes
"Ping"!!) whereas I guess others do have some knowledge. And Mark, it's
you who we are expecting the circuit diagrams from?
