Right,

How come UCC managed to make it through the latest power weirdness
unscathed? Hmmm, something along the lines of "the eye of the storm"?
;) BTW, see the PostScript[1] of this message if you know about lilo.
Thanks.

Subject: us2.ee.uwa.edu.au down

This is to advise all students that our undergrad unix server, us2 is
down and will likely remain down for the next 24 hours or so. A power
spike at about 4:30PM today seems to have confused it a lot and now
it isn't booting. One would like to think that the UPS we had it
hooked up to would have protected it, but apparently not...

The side affect of this is that printing from Unix (IRIX and Solaris)
systems will not work until this is fixed, and that shell access will
be interrupted.

Thanks

PS: If anyone knows what LILO just displaying "LI" means or more
importantly, how to fix it, we wouldn't mind if you shared it with us
:)
