Not eye of storm. Although the one that I know about happened at 3:26:40. 
I am tempted to quote about long runs of bits of string to keep the vibrations
down. Possibly enough MMF in the tranny to keep UCC/guild up when the power 
fluctuated. Maths/ E&EE probably where drawing closer to the trannys rated 
power and had less to work on. 

Capacitance and inductance are your friend.
