Go ahead. ext3 works very nicely; we run it on UCS boxen fine and
I've no strange issues, as oppossed to reiserfs (reiserfs + raid-1
on 2.2 can be lethal if you don't realise a few things).
Can we run a statically compiled kernel on hydra? It's probably
more sane - the Debian kernels don't even compile in ext2 AFAIK
and I know that it works, but it seems a bit overcomplicated
and just another thing to break.
