It doesn't seem to work over ethernet fullstop. From my initial
experimentation (this is using the grahame/davyd mdns reflector):
 - The Rendezvous message is broadcast to all subnets as expected.
 - You can connect to the RTSP control port 5000 across subnets and
   send traffic.
 - iTunes just doesn't seem to care.
I have wondered if this is a limitation in iTunes (it refusing to
connect to something not on it's subnet, or having a TTL of 1 (I didn't
check), or something like that). What I had hoped to do was capture some
traffic from iTunes over wireless, and play it back from another subnet.
However because the traffic flows over two ports (5000 and 6000 iirc) I
didn't have a trivial way to do that. I've been meaning to hack one up.

I have two sets of pcap captures from ethereal, one from wireless and
one from wired, if people want to check them out.
