[tech] morwong and stuff

Nick brought in some 36gig 10krpm SCA drives yesterday, which we put in
SBBs and stuck in morwong. Unfortunately, after putting in the second
drive morwong's scsi bus went spang. Upon reboot, a show dev showed that
the drive in slot 2 had scsi id 3 (normally SBBs get the same scsi id as
their slot). So when I stuck the second drive into slot 3, two drives had
the same scsi id and the scsi bus went south. The second drive is now in
slot 1 and all is good.

Anyway, the plan is to move all of /home onto a mirror made from both
36gig disks. This will leave us with 5 spare 9gig drives, which could then
be used to have a 36gig concatenated volume (plex actually) which we can
attatch to the mirror volume then detatch to perform offline backups. The
other disk can be used to provide a (possibly offline?) mirror of /, /usr
etc. for disaster recovery.

Other than that, the network outage last night was due to the power outage
just after 11pm, excacerbated by bertoli not coming up cleanly (although
this was supposed to have been fixed, it didn't seem to take).
