[ucc-announce] Charity Vigil Info & Reminder

Hey all,

*************  GENERAL REMINDER/INFORMATION   ****************

As you should all know, the Cameron Hall Charity Vigil is on this Friday 
8th September (ie TOMORROW) starting at 7pm. Everyone should come, have
fun and support Stand By Me Youth Service. Everyone should of course have
a sponsorship form but there are still some available in the various
clubrooms for that last minute pestering of friends and workmates.

Also, if you know anyone who isn't on any of these lists/doesn't check
their email, remind them that the Vigil is on and, if necessary, drag them
along. Remember this is all for charity so the more people we have coming,
the more money we raise for Stand By Me Youth Service.

*************  FOOD INFORMATION   ****************

There will be FREE PIZZA arriving at around 8:00, so if you want food,
make sure you've arrived by then. There will also be breakfast provided in
the form of FREE PANCAKES, if you've managed to stick around for the whole
night.

************  LAN INFORMATION   ******************

We will be setting up for the LAN in the early afternoon and aim to have
all the cabling set up by 3.30pm. An electrician will be up to check the
wiring between 3.30pm and 4pm, so if you are bringing your own PC to the
LAN please bring it along before 3.30pm or after about 4.30pm, so that we
don't clutter up the loft while the electrician is working. (And while I'm
at it please remember to bring your LAN cable and headphones.)

If you don't have your own PC, don't let that deter you - there will be a
couple of computers available for general use on the night.

*************  OTHER EVENT INFORMATION   ****************

Both Unisfa and UWAnime are going to have a screening schedule posted on
the night so you can decide what to watch.

UCS won't have a schedule of events - they'll be running card games and
music in their clubroom, so you can drop by their room anytime.

*************  RAFFLE REMINDER/INFORMATION   ****************

Our generous sponsor the Co-op Bookshop has given us two $25 vouchers
which will be raffled off during the course of the night. A gold coin gets
you a ticket, so drop by the front desk during the night to grab a ticket
or few.

Also, note that the raffle doesn't get drawn until the early hours of the
morning. So, if you have to leave early, make sure you leave your tickets
with someone who will still be there. If no-one comes forward when a
number is drawn, we just draw again.

That's about it. Remember that this is all for charity, so let's all have
a great time and try and raise as much money as we can for Stand By Me
Youth Service. Even if you can't attend the whole night, drop by for a few
hours, grab a bite of pizza, and enjoy yourself. :)
