[ucc-announce] Hazard and outage period - 0630hrs to 0900hrs - Friday, September 14 2012

A hazard period exists for core services tomorrow morning between
0630hrs and 0900hrs while electrical works are carried out on the
Cameron Hall level 2 switchboard.

The University's no live work policy (which comes from the Code of
Practice issued by Worksafe) requires that the whole board be
de-energised while work is carried out to upgrade the breaker on
Circuit Red 6 from 16A to 20A.

The UPS should carry the load on a number of the key systems during
this time, but co-located servers and anything else that does not have
a UPS feed will experience an outage.

This work is in addition to that scheduled for Sunday night (details
of which can be found at ucc at ucc mail archives).
